What is Off The Page?

Off The Page is a weekly newsletter that gives readers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how some of the most anticipated new novels are brought to life. From intimate author interviews to sharing snippets from my own journey as a debut author, Off The Page was created to inspire and create a community of likeminded readers craving a deeper look into what it takes to publish a novel.

Who am I?

Marilyn La Jeunesse an internationally recognized Mexican American journalist. A graduate of New York University, she has worked for some of the largest and most respected media corporations in the world, including Condé Nast, Hearst, and Dotdash Meredith. She also has bylines in British Vogue, Bustle, Allure, and formerly worked for Selena Gomez’s mental health company, Wondermind.

When she’s not busy interviewing rising pop stars and New York Times best sellers, she’s working as a social media manager and audience development consultant for brands like Netflix’s Con Todo, Vox’s The Cut and The Strategist, and The Hate U Give author Angie Thomas.

New York City based, Marilyn’s still a Californian at heart, rocking thick winter coats as soon as the temperature hits below 60. When she’s not busy working on one of her manuscripts, she can be found cuddling with one of her cats or gallivanting around the globe. Her current favorite spots for creative inspiration are Mexico City, Kyoto, and Granada.
